Excellence
- Access Excellence is a national (US) educational program that provides
high school biology teachers access to their colleagues, scientists,
and critical sources of new scientific information via the WWW. Genetech
is sole sponsor of Access Excellence.
- Advancing
In Natural Science
- A biology section of the Open Door Web Site, including sections
on Breathing and Activity, How Organisms Communicate and Animal Life
Cycles and Dispersal. Students are welcome to use any of the information
used on this site in their research projects.

Interactive Animation
- This extensive collection of Interactive Activities is hosted
by North Harris College for use with the Advanced Placement program,
featuring mostly biology, with some chemistry. The interactive animations
are largely Flash, Shockwave and Authorware and will be of use or
interest to a wide range of teachers and students

descriptions and the variety is impressive.

Conservation Union
- This is the website of the World Conservation Union, formed to
influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to
conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that
any use of natural resources is equitable and sustainable. It contains
many up to date articles, statistics and pieces of information on
regional to global level.

- This online biology book has over 50 chapters covering all areas
of biology. Chapters include: biological molecules; cell biology;
enzymes; DNA; genetics; plant biology; animal biology: digestive,
nervous, reproductive, endocrine, muscular, respiratory, excretory;
evolution; biodiversity and classificaiton; ecology; and human evolution.
Well worth a look and also contains a glossary of terms.
